BRACE yourself mums. Collette Dinnigan’s second collection for Aldi hits stores this month and marks a first for Australia’s style queen — a boys’ range, inspired almost entirely by her brown-eyed, blond-haired son, Hunter.
Dinnigan’s first collaboration with the budget retailer two years ago sold out fast, with huge queues and battles over the merchandise in stores. Customers also sent the designer a clear message: “Everybody wanted us to do boys’ clothes”.
Good marketing by Aldi as not only do customers get great prices on designer clothes for
kids they also get to experience the great prices in store on groceries.
Woolies could learn something from Aldi.
