Whether we call it " BlackListing " or " expected to hold the shares but if not they won't give an allocation again " or what ever sh*t we call it, ( I don't want to lose my sleep on the wording as the final result is darn same for anyone in doubt. Not Rocket Science to understand this simple logic. You sell they won't look at you again, what does that mean! Waste of time arguing about the same result what ever the wording is, no matter what. " ). This is particularly true to new clients of brokers and also in HOT IPO's. If you don't trust this, anyone can try with Alto or other boutique brokers by opening an account and if they get lucky with a tiny allocation and sell it on Day 1, see what happens after that in future allocations. They don't want to know you. What does that mean, they don't want to deal with you or Blacklisted or whatever the crappy lingo they may use, outcome is the same. No more shares from them to you in future.
