Mongolia’s export increases by 30.4 percent

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Aresult of foreign trade for the first 2 months 2019 has been based on 69106 export, and36415 import customs declarations and other non-customs resources ofinformation. 1804export and 48import declarations belong to the goods crossed through seasonal ports.

 

A result of total turnoverof foreign trade for the first 2months 2019 amounted USD1931.1million which increased in USD 366.7 million or 23.4percent against the same period of the last year. Export exceeded import in USD256.1million and foreign trade balance became positive.

 

The volume of export is USD1093.6million which means increase by 30.4 percent if compared with the sameperiod of the last year. In total export minerals amounted USD826.2million or 75.5%; natural or cultured pearls, preciousor semi-precious stones amounted USD195.9 millionor 17.9%; export of raw hides and skins,leather, fur skins and articles thereof equaled to USD2.9million or 0.3%, textiles and textile articlesUSD24.7 million or 2.3%and in total 96.0% of export came to these goods. 

 

Сrude oil, iron ores and concentratesand zinc ores, copper concentrate and concentrates were exported to China (100.0%), coal(97.9%) were exported to China. Floursparconcentrates were exported to China (67.0%),the Russian Federation (31.9%); leather of bovine or equine animalswere exported to China; (52.7%) of combed cashmere to the Italy; most of exported raw hides andskins, washed cashmere comes to China, and gold were exported to United Kingdom(100.0%) and 91.9 percent of total export belong to these goods.

           

Mongolia has exported goodsto 47 foreign countriesincluding China (78.8%), United Kingdom (18.3%),the Russian Federation (0.8%) and 97.9%of whole export comes to these countries.
