re: aia AIA and AIX are low volume stocks. Personally I prefer to trade in higher volume stocks. Fund mangers would too. Easier to make their 30% and off load to another fund mangers.
Use to go short with small trades on about 6 stocks about a year ago resources and insurance. Do not have the time to short now. One stock I shorted a lot with large trades and when it rallied was HDR, the high volumes appealed to me.
With less time now the bulk of my portfolio is MAP. It's doing very well. Large volumes, blue chip, monopoly.
Macquarie are aggressive when it comes to investing and other firms use their investment models.
Any way, I see AIA as an addition to a larger fund/s portfolio and that's if it meets their criteria. AIX would have more growth potential than AIA.
