The poster acknowledged that price as a mistake. But why us 220? when RRP was/is >US300?
However, for me the bigger question is why has IOT not announced any firm US deals/POs for the airselfie? In April they announced excl distribution for the airselfie (by AEE which was strange in itself???) but the airselfie has now been available for a while via eBay, Amazon and airselfie's own website. In fact there are multiple different sources on both eBay and Amazon to get one. Meantime IOT appears to have received ZERO revenue from the usa for this ""exclusive deal"". And the Telstra PO has no quantity disclosed
This raises numerous questions (again)
- is the US deal actually exclusive? (consumers, if they wanted one after the kickstarter reviews, have been able to order for a while so some demand is already fulfilled). The amazon best seller rankings do not indicate strong demand (and reviews do not inspire)
- Once (if) retailers order some, will they be able to move the 15k units that they paid AEE a deposit for? (no track record with their resold products, IMO Rova has failed big time, according to IOT ann only 2700 units shipped, no Canada or US reorders announced despite the first PO being in march/april AND massive discounting (33% off)
- Even if airselfie orders are received, how will they be financed? Company's cash position doesn't look strong enough
Let alone the silence around roam-e, Vecta and Agnosco
IMO DYOR
