Such a sombre meeting... the feeling was a mixture of disbelief and unbelief, mingled with hope and some resignation (not enough resignations some might say...).
2 more years???? How much more money??? Where does it come from? All unclear...
Is there really a sniff of change in the (very stale) air?
However, Hope springs Eternal in the Human Heart and maybe this is the year.... (I've said that at least 10 times...)
Some lateral observations:
JW has gone from being young to looking middle-aged
The directors (JH wasn't there, unsurprisingly) having gone from looking too old to looking too old
Us shareholders present (TJ aside) have all aged (gracefully)
As mentioned, I hope I see the outcome of this before it becomes a (humourous) anecdote in my eulogy.
A bright relief was a great chat afterwards with the ever-enthusiastic future company saver (?) Mike smith giving me his update on the drilling plans for this year. May that 250m hole strike deep and true (results by mid-year)!
As always, the highlight (definitely NOT the MD's presentation - zzzzzz) was catching up with the fellow sufferers at the group therapy session. Stay well and strong everyone.
