I think there is one thing you need to consider when taking dividends into account when investing into a company like NHC is the notional benefits from franking credits its this that has me investing into companies like NHC for e.g. if NHC has paid a .50c Interim dividend and a .50c Final dividend to many that's $1.00 Net,but with notional benefits that figure is now a gross $1.43 you simply apply the 3/7th rule hope this helps
