The PPN appeal to the Supreme Court against the VCAT decision of 2 August 2012 is listed for hearing before Associate Justice Mukhtar in Court 2, Ground Floor, 436 Lonsdale Street, Melb @ 10:30 am on Monday 20 August 2012.

There are a couple of possible outcomes:
1. If leave to appeal is refused by the Supreme Court, the VCAT trial will commence on 23 August 2012.

2. If leave to appeal is granted, the actual appeal might be dealt with and finalised on 20 August.

3. If the Associate Justice considers the matter complex, it is likely both leave to appeal and the actual appeal could be listed for urgent hearing by a Judge in about a month or two or three in which case it can be argued that Natural Justice would be denied if the VCAT trial were to proceed on 23 August 2012.
