I'm interested in the answer to your question probing how it works, but I'm assuming this is propriety and must contain some tech that is effective in identifying the underwater movements (possibly heat signal?) of a shark.

The costings will also be interesting, and comparisons based on what I can find in terms of budget spending on the smart drum lines:

NSW outlayed $16m for a shark mitigation package including 100 drum lines. I think it was a six month spend.

Apart from up-front costs, apparently the smart drum lines cost ballpark $2K each per day in operating costs.

The WA Govt reckon drum lines covering all of the necessary coastline would cost ballpark $75m p/A.

It's a toe in the door of a massive market.
