The units need to intergrate with existing systems. The benefit is that it is agnostic on the detection system being used and simply solving the remote beach alarm / awareness issue.

The language used to describe the trial does talk it up a bit so I can see how people thought there was more to it. It's another use case so still good but not a solution to the problem. But as has been said, with all the competition amongst approaches maybe it's better to solve one part of the problem that can plug into whatever detection systems are being used.
