Been to the two last two AGM's and found them to be on par with how Union meetings are run.

As a result didn't bother to attend! Its a joke how the management insist on a secret ballot for Union meetings, yet displaying the results prior to voting which equates to 'show of hands at a Union meeting'. This to me is indirect influences on how attendees are to vote.

Showing the result after the AGM VOTE is critical if the vote against the remuneration resolution is close.

I recently met a Suncorp shareholder who mentioned too me that the results to the resolutions were displayed after votes were taken at the AGM.

My previous sh?t stirring must have had an influence on the management team - finally a bit of democracy at AGM meetings.

Now it's time to get other changes to bear fruit. We need to get greater participation from smaller shareholders and break the stranglehold from the big-end of town.

At my last attendance I asked Ziggy to display additional info, such as the number of individuals or entities that vote for and against the resolution; the numbers that didn't bother to vote etc.

This would give validity to the poll resolution, if the majority of individuals and entities voted for the resolution in addition to the poll result.

This additional info may encourage more shareholders to take active part in voting - a great number of shareholders considered the voting as rigged for the big end of town.
