A few observations and personal projections based from the last announcement.
The average number of bets was about 9000 a day at an average of about $10 per bet. I believe this was with the Vic and NSW Tabs operations albeit NSW only being allowed for a short time.
One would think conservatively, with the spring carnival and further uptake throughout these states bets of more than 10000 per day would now be common.
That equates to about 1000k of bets per day through the service.
I would envisage by the time unitab and austar comes online 20000 bets per day may be possible. This would generate about 200k of turnover per day. I think industry standards may be about 2% commission on turnover. Therefore 4k a day commission with horse races on 363 days per year a revenue of $1,4 million from SkyActive probaly isnt that far away. Then comes Sportsbetting possibly in the future.
It will be interesting to see how many bets per day at the next announcement.
