I think Musi's report captures the intelligence and confidence of the management team well. I had the opportunity to have lengthy discussion with all board members, Tolga and Shannon Green, the GM of project implementation. I was impressed with their strategic thinking and their ability to look at creative solutions to solve old industry problems. IMO Canyon share holders are on a winner.
I think the above industry piece captures most of the dot points from the meeting well too.
Only factual point I'd like to add right now is Cameroon have built an amazing, expensive port that is accruing interest charges while effectively having no patronage. A freight line to get clients across to the port would seem essential and good for all parties. I believe the Cameroonian government and Canyon will be able to come to a win win deal that sees all parties doing very well. I'd suggest the evidence over the past few months is that the process is unfolding already. Reading between the lines I'm also confident that the numbers I've thrown around will turn out to be conservative.
Sentiment: Mad to sell, the journey is only just beginning.
