To come out with such a belligerent proposal - putting short range missiles and an increased role for the Russian navy slap bang next to Poland - and then to also float the idea of 6 years terms for the the second coming of Putin on the very night a new US president was elected should show the Europeans that today's Russia just does not think in win-win terms: if Europe allows Russia to retain the upper hand with energy supplies then at some stage it will cost them dearly.
Surely there has to be a hydrocarbon major looking at what has developed in the Qld csg sector and then seeing some sense in a strategic tie-up with EPG?
