The share price is falling because of the capital raising, not because of manipulation or shorting.
Management knows to conduct a capital raising when the company's health is in question, and when it was completely out of the blue, will send alarm bells ringing to any investor. There is no doubt it is intrepreted by many as "Something's not right".
So knowing this, the management goes ahead with the raising anyway.
It seems they are desperate for cash. I'm not surprised. Make no mistake, it's not the shorters or market manipulators who are pushing the stock down, it's management who really shouldn't have done the raising in the first place.
