NM can easily buy himself a new yacht or some other such toy with his salary rather than plow it back in his companies, and putting that money at risk. That actually sounds to me like supporting the company.
Cheap options? Hardly considering the sp at or around the time they were issued? Do you not consider a 100% premium to prevailing sp fair? You prefer 500%?
Seriously, anyone who thinks this is one of those lifestyle companies hasn't actually seen one.
I understand a lot of the grouses shareholders have, but suggestions that NM is using DGR and its companies as his own piggy bank are simply off the mark.
I doubt he'd take it private, I have no doubt he could raise the money to take it private at 25c (I would take it and run) but he seems a man driven by much more than simple dollar signs.
No hostile takeover is possible considering NM and parties associated with him control almost 50% of DGR. And I suspect the only price he will accept is a price no one would pay anyway.
That man does things his way.
