Agree with you that Directors showed some confidence in our Company. I also invested heavily around the same period buying 800,000 more on that confidence displayed. That after investing in the initial float together with even more at higher prices thereafter. The difference between him and the average shareholder is that he actually knows exactly what is going on, the timings and exact & truthfulness of releases, he can extract extra compensation (now over $1,150,000 per year from total directorships with more to come), plus bonus shares (x 2 in 2017 with the last being 13,650,000 options at 6.5c to become fully paid.....his profit from these 'employee incentives' would go a long way of paying for the $550,000 x 14 cents), and all along his holding percentage in all the companies increases together with his net worth in holdings..... while the rest of us get savaged in percentage of shares held and our next worth plunges. This is across the board in all the companies where he is currently a director of. I believe not one of the companies is valued what they were initially listed on.....great stewardship and management. When they drop in value he and fellow directors swoop in and pick up huge wads of shares.....paid from inflated salaries and bonus options....the cycle continues and continues again and again.
The directors' decision not to include SOLG, etc., on the ASX has in the main excluded local small investors in further investing in these exciting prospects. Hasn't stopped him/them in picking up 10's of millions equity and percentage holdings in them. His dual directorships continue to plague DGR's value over the last decade and much longer because of the conflict in decisions made by the one company which adversely affect the other company (DGR being specific). 25 pence for SOLG killed off its share value and also that of DGR. We have had to wait now months and months through market manipulation and we still don't know who actually owns this last huge wad of shares. When being paid millions collectively (salaries plus bonues plus management benefits) he can afford to take the long term view. Not sure that too many of the small long term investors in any of these companies can do the same..... And unfortunately, he and the other directors of DGR, have a history of not rewarding DGR shareholders of the full rewards when a takeover did make a profit. 1.5 cents dividend paid while the share value drops over 10 cents has not been what I call a reward on my investment. I have to hang in there......too much to lose!
I hope that he 'will deliver' but I have serious doubts it will be of benefit to small holders in the short term.....taking that he hasn't done so since he has been in charge. His holdings go up by the millions of dollars but the rest of us.......................!!!!!!!!!! When the boat comes in I am sure he will count his profits in the Hundreds of Millions while other shareholders will possibly come out even.....a profit would be great.
