Like TheSparkGuy I have been a long-term HSN holder from sub $1 and can understand why he sold out at $3.70 citing the 1H17 flat outlook statement and lack of recent acquisitions at favourable FX rates.
But I suspect HSN might have picked up HiAffinity at very favourable post-Brexit (23/6/16) FX rates, especially if they converted AUD to GBP around that time to fund the purchase. Refer to the two year AUD/GBP chart.
And Vitster - I think HSN uses its 1H17 results to advertise that it has $15.4m in net cash, ready to acquire businesses. I wouldn't be surprised if they flush out some more UK businesses given the weak GBP.
A far cry from the 2003 Rugby World Cup where the English chanted "we're fat, we're round, three dollars to the pound" ...
