Hi kiwi, I’m sorry your loss will affect your family so much. Fingers crossed re next investment. I’m learning also. Maybe stay away from specs until you have raise more capital or just put in $1 or $2 k and build the capital first.look out for some blue chip shares when they next drop via the current volatility. Macquarie, CSL, etc.. exl is also another to watch , but they have risen too high today. I’m guessing all will pull back in the next little while, ready for another run. CSL needs to drop back under $178 to make worth while.
Im also banking on Adriatic metals - adt. If this stock drops back to under 0.60 or close too, it would be worth a few k. Expecting this to run at least double in the coming 6 months.
But just to clarify, you won’t be able to offset the loss on tax, just on any future capital gain. Best wishes
