Do we really "know for a fact an offer was on the table".
A) It's street talk...
B) If there had being an offer made (on the table) in all likelihood there would have being an announcement made. It was most likely preliminary discussions that did not warrant disclosure to the ASX. I really doubt there was 'a deal on the table'.
