All the below mentioned companies seem well advanced of SOLG and from the article, indicate that they are at production or so near production. SOLG is seemingly many years, if not a decade away, from producing should the economics of doing so be confirmed. These company's gold and silver resources seems extraordinary, with Mirador - 2.8mt of CU 52.7 t of Au and 565 t of Ag and San Carlos Panantza – Inferred resources of 6.6 million t of Cu. Will these mines chew up the available water, electricity road, rail and port facilities which SOLG management is relying on to make our future mining/production so cost efficient compared to other worlds
....."To facilitate this growth, the Vice Minister announced that there are five major, world-class projects either in, or close to, production.
Rio Blanco – started production in early 2018 with LOM production of 15.7 t of Au and 100 t of Ag.
Fruta Del Norte – set to begin production in 2019 with a LOM production 140.9 t of Au and 172.3 t of Ag.
Mirador – a significant copper project set to start production in 2019 with a LOM production of 2.8 million t of Cu, 52.7 t of Au and 565 t of Ag.
Loma Larga – currently in the early stages of a pre-feasibility study with an expected LOM production of 52.3 t of Au and 305.8 t of Ag.
San Carlos Panantza – Inferred resources of 6.6 million t of Cu."......
With a likely recession, if not depression, being forecasted within the next year or two, why would the likes of Newcrest, BHP, RIO, want to throw billions of dollars/pounds into SOLG (and for that matter DGR) when they can sit and wait and presumably pick up this huge resource for next to nothing down the track. NM and Directors are secure.....have the advantage of earning huge salaries during this period, with the added advantage that they can pick and choose when to further invest and increase their own holdings. NM has a very successful history of picking up significant % of companies for his own advantage. Unless one is a very big boy or a director, lots of us small holders (even those that are in the top 40) could very much miss out.
