And yes, the long-time shareholders, New Hope Corporation / Soul Patts.... those guys must be crazy to let this one slip…throughout the many years they seem to have simply just sat down and watched things in their rocking chair..…..they must have become increasingly nonchalant and comfortable about it all with I guess just having way way way too much money in the chest….for a rainy day.
I would have thought that if Santos entered the deal. (with NewHope) .then this would have re-invigorated the various relationships (Mitsui included ) to generate bigger and better things for all concerned.
