Westside, despite the issues ( and ALL Companies & Assets have issues of some sorts ) is an established gas producer....approx. 12 TJ per day!..It would take a minimum of at least 5 years...and an enormous amount of work & cash and infrastructure ...AND a huge list of all sorts of Government regulatory approvals to wade through to start something like this from scratch... The ex-Molopo (Mungi) field is literally next door..and other exploration fields close by....with pipelines in place already connecting it to the gas grid... At 40 Cents IMHO is absolutely great value for someone... for this Company!
Time will of course tell.....But still a little bit of time left till Tuesday... I am surprised that Santos does not have an interest..given all the problems they are having in NSW. Queensland is a much easier state to do this type business in.
