Gosh your so full of defending your favorite management. Open your eyes, look outside. SO you are saying to me that there are 1600 companies on the ASX, and most of them should have gone bankrupt because the GFC hit, and the high dollar and lower metal prices? That is the most absurd thing I have heard.
Management are their to manage and to steer a company from arising risks, there are hedging options avilable, forward contracts, forward fuel hedging. Management kne w that Zinc would be in surplus for a while, well cut down the Zinc mining, concentrate on Copper, buy existing mines (All frigging easy to say - yes I admit) but please do not defend the management. And the rot, in my opinion did not start with Geoff Day, it started with your frigging Kim Robinson
Anyway, my learning from this saga has been, donot trust management, look at what the share price is doing, because surely big investors have a better clue then most of us small guys
