XPD will be a test case for the Australian and Chinese police.

On 26 September 2017,  The australia police and the chinese police sign an agreement whereby police from both country will cooperate to pursue financial fugitive and fraud in both country.

Jinjiang Chaoda is a private company, it is not a state government owned company. Chinese government have no reason to protect it. Especially when the managing director is fraudulent in the first place, also XPD is a company incorporate in Australia.

Currently many chinese fugitive lives in australia, there is billion of dollar of corrupt chinese money transferred to australia. Chinese police will need australian police help to recall these fugitive and money back to china. In return australian police will need the chinese police help to enforce small fraudulent cases like XPD.  I think the chinese police will comply, this deal is much much beneficial for the chinese police.

Jiameng & co certainly choose the wrong time to defraud Australian investors. 10 years ago, they could get away with it. Now with the police agreement in place, since september especially at a time when chinese police needs the Australian police cooperation most, as part of their fugitive ‘fox hunt’. Chinese police & court will not shield them, especially when they are a private company and not a state owned enterprise.
