The AFL thru the Victorian Government were made to sell off Waverley. There has always been conspiracies about lack of the PTV Metro, Connex, the upkeep of Western Oval (which never happened), shift back to the CBD from the more affluent and populated South East.

IMHO time to abolish MCG and build something better. There need to be two stadiums supporting the MCG, 1 in the West and 1 in the East.

all the money on docklands, marvel stadium is wasted. It will always be emptyhad. Junction Oval upgrades have been another waste. You could build up a stadium where the Monash Tigers currently play for the East, and something halfway between Geelong and Melbourne.

the AFL are flogging two dead horses, the MCG and emptyhad. The game will diminish and crowds will plateau and drop if the fights continue and the security and stadiums become out of date.
