jak I agree that's a hard call and should be done gradually. The fact is there are not enough good players in the country to maintain a high standard with the number of teams we have and secondly the victorian sides are propped up with players from other states.

As you know football was a tribal game - a primitive suburban warfare. I can put up with kids from other states playing for my team but where is the incentive for junior football development. This used to be supported by local clubs who now find all their good young players are stolen in the annual meat market.
