Usually like KBs ideas but dont like this one at all LD.
One day they'll wake up and realise the simple thing to do is reduce to sixteen per team. (talk about this has finally started with Lyon mentioning it on footy classified this week). Have at least six on the interchange, and as many interchanges as u like, and piss off the stupid stop gap sub rule.
A six interchange would allow a wider variety of player types and extend careers. If this rule had been in this year someone probably would have picked up Fev and played him as an interchange six.Plugger Hall etc could have played another year. Having 16/team would also assist in the globalisation of the game where existing grounds are way too small for 36 players on the field. There would also be less injuries thru the combination of 16/team an six interchange. C
