What about the new rule of the 50m now that when the player is running forward with the ball to the new mark 50m on - at any point along the way he can play on. So when or at what point can someone tackle him?. that is such an idiotic change seem crazy to me. So when can someone tackle him - the player is playing on? is the ump going to call play on when the ump thinks he might be playing on - what if he just looks like he is going to but not? maybe someone can explain it - because I see huge confusion with that change. at the very least one team getting a bigger/huge advantage. Another side of looking at it is the poor team after receiving a 50m against them is going to get a huge slap in the face twice.
More confusion to rules just added move power to the umps. I watch footy to watch players skill not to wonder how the umps are going to interpret rules.
