AEB currently extracts oil from algae.. this same technology can be used to extract oil containing mainly cannabidiol (CBD) from hemp or varying profiles /levels of cannabinoids including CBD with THC. The implications for AEB with this bill is that with hemp now being classified as a commodity by the US trade can occur i.e. low THC cultivars of hemp can be sourced within the US or possibly imported and extracted for cannabidiol.
NO such trade can occur with marijuana due to both US and International (UN treaty) law.
Canada is one of the few countries that does export(trade in marijuana) and it does so violating the UN treaty under the provision that it trades with countries that have similar jurisdiction e.g Holland
Uruguay would also fall into that category. Thus trade in marijuana(cannabis sativa) may occur between Canada and Uruguay but NOT US and Uruguay.
Since the US has now classified Hemp(cannabis sativa) as a commodity, trade may occur but I wouldn't want to be the one trying to explain the difference at US customs
