A fundamental difference would be the Agricultural Industry and the Media Industry. Priceline and Flight are in the business of travel. One sells accomodation and the other sells flights and tours - it's a great complementary fit.
I'd like to see Flight Centre rise to $50 and above before we go on wishing for a takeover, but that unfortunately is not always the case. Companies (ironically like flights) get bought when they are at an attractive price.
For those entering the stock at these levels, a takeover would be excellent. Long term holders who bought in the $40s and $50s may get hurt a little, but it could be much worse.
