The Australian:
FLIGHT Centre is targeting another record profit result after making a solid start to the new financial year.
CHIEF executive Graham Turner says the group is aiming to lift pre-tax profit by between four and eight per cent above the $366.3 million achieved in 2014/15. Its shares were $1.11 higher at $37.89 at 1008 AEDT.
Mr Turner said the company had performed in line with expectations during the first four months of 2015/16, with its UK and South African businesses among the top performers.
Meanwhile, the number of Australians travelling to the United States is surging despite the drop in the Aussie dollar's value against the US greenback.
