Payment son the movies can be made in a number of different structures. Most commonly 20% deposit and 80% balance upon notification that delivery of the picture is ready.
You are quite corect, distributors bid against each other for the rights to the territory.
I have looked over the half yearly and am not excited as most of you guys, but that is simply my opinion. Low margins and profit, high debt, cash position marginal. Not too mention poor management, corporate and business development have made silly company acquisition decisions and it will be interesting to see if they can synchronise these businesses now.
Just my thoughts, but I do think there is a good underlying business, just the wrong people at the helm.
