In terms of potential acquirers I think NST and EVN have shown they're after lower cost operations than what WGX has. Both have offloaded their lower quality mines in the last year.
SAR is the one that I think is probably most suited for a merger with WGX at the moment. Got $150M debt facility and seems to also have fairly over priced script (considering they're producing similar ounces/costs to WGX but have an extra $300M in market cap).
Otherwise I think offshore suitors such as the Chinese are possible.
I bought in on Friday after being quite impressed with the quarterly. Happy for them to just keep producing on those numbers as seems well undervalued. Be interesting to see if it gets a tailwind from inclusion into various indices probably in the next two quarters.
