For those that are keenly interested and believe that broker reports and the like are full of folly, theres a bloke who runs Yales endowment named David Swensen who is an absolute gem.
In the same league as Jeremy Grantham (of which his Qrtly investment reports are required reading), Swensen is particulary not known. There is great reason for this. Like Lou Simpson (Geico investment supremo and Berkshire confidant), Swensen particularly likes to stick to principle and keep a rational head. Although he invests in all things, his strategy and investment process is remarkable.
His book, 'Unconventional success' should be put on the agenda for a read.
