How? - while thinking very hard about the consequences, I'd say.

Firstly the chances of this getting over the line are huge - there are simply massively more shares in the YES camp - management, funds and positive investors.

If you vote no - consider this.

    1) Which way will the GMM sp/market cap go?
It would be equivalent to a vote of no confidence in management.
The best and most profitable vote of no confidence would be to pick your time and sell your shares, imho - dyor etc.

    2) If you vote no - you could be left in the position of being a minority share holder.
It is clear that the great majority have already seen the benefits - SDV, ASX200 etc.
Funds and Instos now have large holdings - some are famously LT. They don't block these moves. Why would they? Its a strategy for immediate growth and fast-tracked development.
Many have doubled down instead because of the favourable arbitrage on GXY shares.
Fotios goes into a management position at GXY even if the vote reaches 50.1%

GXY has not yet decided what to do if it ends up in the grey zone of being able to purchase the vast majority of shares, but without the required percentage for a clean/friendly take over.
IF this happens they can move to less friendly ways of taking over the company - which include de-listing the company from public trading so that it is not possible to sell or buy anything in GMM.

@jorpra - if you don't like the plan then you really should consider selling your shares.
Pick your time, but if you're not happy with management then this is your best option.
Why stay with a company that makes the wrong call?
You are, of course, very free to make up your mind but, it would be a wise move to consider your brothers and sisters here. Why are they so positive about the merged future?

If you hate Galaxy and their plans for the future then you are possibly invested in the wrong company.

If you or any other investors have concerns - then this forum is an excellent way of us discussing things in a free and intelligent way.
Let us know your rationale so that we can all talk about your issues in an open and frank way.
