With news out today that Qantas is going off to the ACCC to seek a blocking of the alliance between Virgin and Etihad, doesnt that send a signal. I mean if Qantas werent worried about the competition then they wouldnt be pressing their case to the ACCC. Now surely the dilemma for the ACCC is to show that they agree to the extra competition and thus allow the Virgin and Etihad Alliance to go through. If not the ACCC are guilty of hypocrisy and Qantas is a protected company.
