jonman, your not the only one to ever do that. Whats important is to learn from our experiences. Dont go there. One of the reasons many recommend stocks, is because our emotions are high, and we want to share the success. Unfortunately, if that is the case, then it is emotions being used in business decisions, and that is what needs being curbed. There is no place for emotions and successful trading in the long term. Unfortunately, the stock market smarts know how to get your money, and a plan with an exit strategy attached to every trade is necessary to curb losses. Len lost his first business to Linc energy, and Peter Bond. And look what has been built there in market cap.Perhaps rather than Lens spilt milk, he just didn't have the business skills from the outset. I have never been a holder, but follow LNC and this is a sort of sister coy with syngas strategies. The one major problem they have is continually raising capital for projects, especially in this climate. My sympathies go to holders, small caps have not had a very good go since the GFC, but this game is all about cash survivability since then.
