Some of those who are religiously inclined might agree with you and believe the sharemarket only moves according to the divine intervention of "the master" above. To me that would make investing difficult, how can you predict what a divine being might do?
I prefer a more simple and earthly approach...stocks will "leave the gates" when investor sentiment improves. In DEGs case a strong upturn in the price of gold would help.
