Some years ago when my dad, in his 90's entered an old folks home, almost all the men there were skinny as rakes, most chubby ones dies off early, or just as likely, when they got sick and needed assistance to get in and out of bed and to toilet, were too heavy and difficult for one carer to handle and so waited till the end of the line until two or more carers were available to do the lift...
It doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize if you lie there in your own poop until there are enough staff to lift you to the potty time after time, you almost inevitably will contract some infection and find yourself below ground in a hurry...
Logistics works against the overweight when you can no longer take care of your basic needs...
