"Lets start a IPO or shell offering food that is safe, look at the markup
start small just some products and slowly add to the line "
Normally I am a very positive person - and although i think that is a good idea (yes, I know you were smiling when you said it) ------
however, I think that would be an amazingly difficult business to run.
I believe there is no way you could guarantee safe product ----------- it would be an enormous effort to find and maintain a safe supply line for a single product -- let alone a suite of products.
One stuff up and your cred. would go out the door.
And, worse still ---------- I strongly suspect you would have enemies - many in the food industry would hate you and I think there is a strong possibility you could be sabotaged.
Now, maybe I have a closet negative conspiracy person hiding in my personal closet - but I think in this case it would be more a case of reality.
As I said previously --- the day someone invents a diddly thing to clip onto an iphone that measures unfriendly residue in foods is the day we will get a very big bad surprise.
I visited a community garden in Tambourine months back -- a very nice idea and a very good idea ----------- but, even then, things are left to chance.
They go to all sorts of bother to make their produce 'organic' - which means it is warm, cuddly, safe and wouldn't choke a dolphin -------------- however, --------
I asked where the seeds came from -- country of origin --------------- answer, unknown.
Now, I saw a lot of the damage from the food poisoning in Europe (mainly Germany) a few years back - I arrived in Germany just as it burnt out.
That was from organic sprouts - ------------ the damage --------------- about 50 dead and hundreds injured -- many very seriously injured for life and probably far shorter lives.
The problem came from where the seeds were harvested in Egypt --------- even with German precision - it took weeks to narrow down ---------- by then, the damage was done.
Could it have been avoided? Yes, probably - but it would be a massive undertaking.
have a great day
