A stockbroker has been talking this one up:
...At the start of last week my clients picked up Australian Agricultural Company Limited (ASX:AAC), with the share price adding around 10% since - last at $1.88. The company released results showing net profit after tax at $67.8 million, increasing nearly seven times on the previous financial year, kilograms of beef sold were up 96%, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation up 87%.As the 10 year chart (below) shows, the stock has been supressed in a 7 year trading range which should now act as a long-term base. All momentum and trending indicators now support a larger, longer sustainable trend evolving that will see share price levels ultimately into the $2.40/$2.60 zone. This is a clear turnaround story, with price action looking broadly like a repeat of the 2003 to 2007 rally. BUY.
Presumably this explains some of the high volume in recent weeks.
