Hi Kropka, as per the December quarterly activities report the December stockpile was about 18,000t, so about 18,000t of this quarters sales are actually from last quarter production, basically that delivery at the old fixed price.
"Stockpiles of 18,795wmt lithium concentrate at quarter end"
As you indicated the December production figures were quite low, so obviously the stockpile must have been building from previous months production. Was quite a drought on sales there for awhile, it's good we seem to be having a bit of a catch up this quarter.
Oh and for those wanting to know how much adjustment may be needed to those "operating profit" figures as per Furnaces post, well the cash cost for December quarter were also given in the report as
"
Production Cash Costs1 for the Quarter were approximately A$1,152 (US$824) per tonne
of lithium concentrate produced. "
18,000 by $1152 is quite a significant amount for me, seems to be in excess of $18m on a rough basis, I assume it will need to flow through to "operating profit" at some stage.
And by the way, those cash costs are after tantalum credits, as per the little Note1, so hopefully people aren't including the tantalum sales twice in calcs they may be doing, once as a revenue and then again as a reduction in cash costs.
"Cash costs per wmt of spodumene concentrate produced is a non-IFRS measure of the direct costs incurred net of tantalum by-product credit value produced, net of waste deferral costs and excluding royalties"
Anyway, here is a link to the December quarterly activities report for substantiation and for those that may need to have a re-read.
Anyway, as I say, it's good that we are catching up on some of those non sales from Mid November/December in this quarter (it's interesting how our sales for this quarter are being hyped by some whilst seemingly forgetting about last quarter performance). Be nice to get some consistent quarters of good sales under our belts, rather than catch up spikes, but that's just in my very humble opinion.
All the best
