The lithium sector is taking a pasting at the moment, a no stocks are immune to it. IMO it will turn around and another 9-12 months from now things will be significantly different (I think and hope for the better).

IMO all the juniors face some challenges and the quarterlies will be read, analyzed, dissected and then at times misquoted to support one company at the expense of the other and visa versa.

I have been working in the resources industry for almost 40 years and investing in stocks for a good part of that. I have seen the traders come and go, they will never really change but new investors should be aware of their presence and attempts at biased influence.

I recall some years ago I had an acquaintance, a typical young trader who had a couple of good years part time, gave up his full time job (thinking that he can replicate the first few years returns) and then found that the decisions he made were more critical because it was then his sole form of income, this led/contributed to a few dodgy decisions/trades and his working capital started to dwindle.

More risky trades were then undertaken and he got trapped on the wrong side of a trade/extended stock suspension and then things start to become a major issue, common sense, decorum and rational thought were lost. More loses were encountered, increasing levels of risk and leverage were taken and then he tried to return to the workforce to rebuild his capital, but then he wanted too much (his old job back) and is too selective and couldn't get job he wanted, by the time he was really desperate he was so jaded and stale that the jobs had dried up.

Next time I saw him he was cleaning toilets at the local supermarket living in a rental house with a marriage on the rocks and guess what "it was all somebodies else fault".

The really bright ones work a full time job, use that to pay their day to day expenses and provide investment capital that way if economy/market/things/trades turn against them they have the choice to ride out the downturn or sell either way they still have an income - without an income fire sales become a risk.

I hope that you are the later and good luck with your investments I have ridden out greater loses than 40% and recovered with a nice profit other times I have taken a even greater hit.

    Cheers

    Newbie Thomas
