Apropos of nothing in particular, I just thought of a proverb for investment managers.

I think we might be talking to ourselves here now,
Sensible folk have voted their shares and are getting on with their lives.

But, do you know something about how the EGM votes are tallying that the rest of us don't?

I ask because your comments suggest a deal of confidence that CGA is going to be in an awkward position after Monday vis-à-vis its disclosure. But come Monday, if the requisitioners' candidates get up, your discussion about whether or not CGA should have disclosed the threat to their income from the foreshadowed reduction in CTN's funds that they manages, will be entirely moot.

It will be a question of manifest imbuggerance^# as to whether or not the Investment Management Agreement with CTN has a sanity clause, an exclusivity clause or any other claws. All of that will be rendered effectively null and void because the requisitioner's candidates have declared that they are for CGA managing "all of Contango's investment portfolio". If the requisitioner's candidates get up, the CGA folk will be cock-a-hoop - end of story.

CTN holders need to vote, no matter what the size of their holding.
Take no chances on the outcome.There are barbarians pounding on CTN's gate.

^# "imbuggerance" is a technical term beloved by my father, meaning inconsequence in the extreme.
It should not be confused with "embuggerance" which means a niggling and irritating barrier or obstacle encountered when attempting to resolve a problem.
