Fair enough for your views Henster, they're valid. It just defies logic to me for someone to do something so obviously blatant and believe they would not get caught. So I accept it as it is. Tuesday night here in Bali we had dinner with the Chairman of Northern Mining, who has known CC a lot longer and better than I do. I mentioned to him about HC and the insider trading charges and he thinks the idea CC would buy for his gain is completely ludicrous. So I don't include that in my theory of how the whole fiasco transpired.
As for giving it more than 17 days to work, I don't think the larger shareholders would go along. I think they said do a deal now or we'll do a deal with another company by selling our stakes to someone who wants to make a hostile takeover.
All pure speculation on my part, no inside insight.
