You make some good points, Samscout.
Personally, I think it would be good to discourage overly frequent trading. I guess, however, that this would not sit well with the exchanges, whose revenues would be hit and I fear that they may have the muscle to dissuade our regulators from moving too far in this direction. I hope my cynicism is misplaced and that I'm wrong about this.
