Both are industry leaders in Aust, with CRT having a slightly higher market share
Both service the boutique and commodity sides of the market
IMO, the difference is in the overseas facilities. VRT is building a position in the developed world, while MVF is building a position in the developing world. (This affects what can be charged per service as well as costs).
VRT has announced cost cutting this year, which, everything else being equal, should boost the bottom line more that MVF.

If I had to choose, I would go VRT, due to the superior market position, economies of scale and cost cutting.
