At present prices cap magnetite fines will be worth $20 a tonne more than ore from Fortescue or Roy Hill. The capital requirement is an order of magnitude less than the WA proposals. Power, rail, water and port are in place. while port costs will be greater than the larger projects with direct shipping, the power costs should be considerably less. grind costs are low. stripping is low. This project looks like a goer to me, particularly given the renewed Chinese interest in iron ore - see Aquilla. also watch India over the next couple of years. I don't see all is lost.
