Interviewer: 'big pharma, how have they responded to it?'
Dr Malcolm McColl: 'well I think its a... we have a collaboration with Merc, umm ...' moves on very quickly to talk about other studies and how they have had 60 patients enrol...
It sounded as though he was going to say it's an on-going process or something along those lines and thought better of it and mentioned two groups that they are doing studies with and very quickly turned the focus back onto future studies. In other words, they have no one.
That chairman's letter to shareholders a few days ago was a nice touch but if they truly believed that the SP was lower than its true value they would put their money where their mouth is and buy some on the open market as other directors do.
Unless VLA can start an upward trend very soon I'm done and I would encourage others to really re-think their position in this stock as to develop these drugs takes many years, big pharma knows that hence why no one wants to pick this up. There will eventually be another cap raise as we do not hear the CEO's saying 'we have adequate cash to bring this to market'. Time is not on VLA's side, nor I suspect are the results due to lack of interest from anyone really.
